Dear Beautiful Souls,
This month, I feel called to share something deeply personal and profoundly movingāa reflection that bridges my journey of spiritual discovery, my experience of Jesus as a guide, and the messages I see in the world around me. This is not about religion, but about the sacred journey each of us walks as we seek our own truth, wisdom, and connection to the Divine.
We often find the name Jesus in religious books, groups, and churches. As a shamanic witch, I never found him there. I found him in my own personal experienceāmaybe he even found me. A little on that later.
I have always been fascinated by religious art, architecture, symbolism, and the powerful idea that one man could inspire so many across time. I have a very open mind about all types of things, especially the unknown. Iām the type of person who doesnāt simply accept what someone else says about an experienceāI want to live it for myself, to feel the truth in my own bones.
I also have a very disciplined mind, so I donāt automatically assume Iām going to have the same experience as someone else. Iām a bit of a philosopher at heart. One of my favorite quotes is by William Blake:
āTo see a world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour.ā
This, my friends, is how I see the worldāand itās how I met another part of myself. They say that until you walk in someoneās shoes, youāll never truly understand their point of view. Through William Blakeās wisdom, I came to understand this deeply. It humbled me and changed the way I walk in the world.
I have been on this journey of Wicca for 24 years. Most of my family are religious, but I never was. Religion never called to me, but the Divine always has.
When I look at religious symbols or read sacred texts, I donāt see them as everyone else does. I see them as reflections of a state of divinity, not as dogma or doctrine. Even when I read the Bible, I see it as someoneās personal account of what they sawāphysically and spiritually.
Walking the spiritual path has brought me immense wisdom and experience, and for that I am deeply grateful. Every challenge, every triumph, every sacred moment has been a blessing. Yet along this path, Iāve also discovered a profound truth: every pathāno matter how differentāultimately leads us back to ourselves, to Source, to God. Regardless of background, color, creed, or chosen path, we are all on a journey home.
One evening, as the day softly folded into night, I stood watching the cityās lights awaken beneath a deepening sky. I felt a gentle nudge to look up, and in that moment, I saw a formation in the clouds that stopped me in my tracks. I quickly captured the moment with my camera, knowing it was more than just a cloudāit was a message from the Divine.
šø Photo Highlight: "The moment I felt a message from the Divine."
At the time this photo was taken, I was experiencing intense spiritual attacks every single dayāharshly and unrelentingly. I felt like I was in a battle I couldnāt win, exhausted and on the edge of surrender. In that darkness, I cried out and asked for a signāa sign that I was not alone, that I was being guided and protected.
That evening, I looked up and saw the figure in the clouds, and in that moment, I knew my prayer had been answered.
When I look at this photo, I donāt just see clouds and buildingsāI see a figure that speaks to my heart. It felt like Jesus was reminding me that he walks with us still, not as a distant figure from a book, but as a living, breathing guide in the here and now.
That cloud figure gave me three powerful messagesāmessages that I believe were meant to be shared with all of you:
1ļøā£ Jesus will always be with us. In the midst of everyday lifeāin the sky, in the wind, in the glow of city lightsāhis presence is here to remind us that we are never alone. Even when we feel lost or uncertain, he walks with us, guiding our steps with love and grace.
2ļøā£ 1 Peter 5:8
āBe sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.ā This verse came to me instantly, reminding me of the importance of staying vigilant, protecting my energy, and standing firm in my truth and light. We live in a world where shadows exist alongside the light, and we must remain aware and grounded.
3ļøā£ The Tribe of Judah The figure also reminded me of the Tribe of Judahāa symbol of strength, resilience, and unwavering faith. The Lion of Judah roars within us, reminding us of our own courage, wisdom, and power to rise above any challenge.
These messages are not about religion, but about the divine guidance that surrounds us every day. They are reminders that the sacred is always near, if only we open our hearts to receive it.
š« Where do you see signs of the Divine in your own life?
š« What symbols, moments, or experiences remind you that you are guided and protected?
š« How can you walk with faith, trust, and strength, knowing the Divine walks with you always?
Take a moment this week to reflect on these questions. Write in your journal, meditate under the open sky, or simply let your heart receive the messages that are already waiting for you.
Iād love to hear about the moments when youāve felt guided by the Divineāor the experiences that have humbled you and brought you closer to your own truth. Feel free to reply to this email, or connect with me on Instagram @JaneenStokes10. Letās walk this sacred path together.
With infinite love and light,
